Gamut Mapping for Rec.2020 on a Commercial Spot

I recently handled the color on a commercial for an artisan chocolate brand, shot primarily on an ALEXA Mini with some B-roll on an FX3. The deliverable was a Rec.2020 HLG HDR master, which presented the usual gamut mapping challenges. What worked well was using a DaVinci Resolve color managed workflow from the start, specifically ACEScct to DaVinci Wide Gamut (DWG) as an intermediate for primary grading and then outputting to Rec.2020. This gave me a consistent and predictable color space to work within.
