Quick visual compromises when the plan goes sideways?

Hey everyone, I'm working on a community doc right now, shooting on my FX3 with an LS 300x, mostly natural light. Pre-production is my bread and butter, shot lists, storyboards, the works. I put a lot of effort into establishing a visual language early on, aiming for a consistent aesthetic. But as we all know, reality hits.

Yesterday, we lost our perfect golden hour light way faster than anticipated for a crucial interview, and another day, an unexpected construction noise rendered a planned indoor location unusable, forcing a last-minute outdoor scramble. I found myself making on-the-fly decisions that felt a bit reactive, and I'm worried the final edit might show a visual disconnect in those segments.

My tried-and-true method is usually to stick rigidly to the plan, but when an on-set curveball forces you to completely abandon a painstakingly planned shot, what's your process for making a quick compromise that still services the established visual language you worked so hard to create? How do you maintain visual consistency when everything goes off-script?
