1st AC, Short Film - Montreal

Hey Montreal filmmakers, I'm Luc, a Steadicam operator, and we're looking for a skilled 1st Assistant Camera for an upcoming narrative short film. It's a dramatic thriller, quite atmospheric, focusing on a complex character study. Think intense, visually driven storytelling. We've got some cool shots planned, and a great team coming together. Your main role will be pulling focus, managing camera equipment, and assisting our DP on set. This is a crucial position, demanding precision and a sharp eye. You'll be working closely with the camera department, ensuring smooth operation throughout the shoot. We're looking for someone with entry-level experience, ideally with a reel demonstrating your focus pulling abilities. If you own any essential AC tools, like a monitor, follow focus, or clapboard, that's a plus, but we’ll have a core camera package. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for 3-4 days in late spring, primarily weekends and some evenings. This is an equity partnership, meaning you'll share in the film's success.
