Senior Locations Manager, Doc Feature

Documentary Locations Atlanta, GA senior Budget: $1000-1500/day

Looking for an experienced Locations Manager for an upcoming independent documentary feature. This isn't your typical talking-heads doc; we're exploring the intersection of street art and urban renewal in Atlanta, focusing on guerrilla art installations and underground creative spaces. The tone is gritty, authentic, and visually driven. We need someone who deeply knows Atlanta, particularly its unique architectural landscapes and hidden gems, and can navigate permitting and access for visually striking locations, often in unconventional spaces. Your key responsibilities will include meticulous scout reports with photos and detailed logistics, securing all necessary permits and releases, coordinating location agreements, and managing location teams on set. We're looking for someone with a strong track record on feature-length projects, ideally documentaries or independent narratives with challenging location needs. Please have a solid portfolio or reel showcasing your location work. Travel and accommodations are not provided as this is a local hire. Shoot dates are approximately June 10-28, 2024, with scouting beginning in late May. Expect 10-12 hour shoot days. We will provide a vehicle for scouting and shoot days, and all necessary production insurance. Daily rate is $1000-1500, depending on experience.
