Gaffer for Sci-Fi Web Series, Los Angeles

Hey everyone, Derek here, I'm the 1st AC on an independent web series filming in Los Angeles and we're looking for a talented Gaffer to join our crew. This is a gritty, character-driven sci-fi drama with a cyberpunk aesthetic, think Blade Runner meets The Expanse, but on a more grounded scale. We're really aiming for a visually rich, atmospheric look to complement the story. Your main responsibilities will be collaborating with our DP to execute their lighting vision, managing our small lighting package, and leading a small electric team. We're looking for someone with some experience gaffing, even if it's on student films or other indie projects. A strong understanding of lighting principles and safety is key. If you have your own basic lighting kit, that's a huge plus, but we do have some gear. Please share your reel or examples of your work. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at 5-7 days in late May/early June, mostly evening shoots. We're offering points and deferred payment, typical for indie web series.
