Art Asst. for Sci-Fi Short (Deferred)

Hey, fellow filmmakers. I'm helping out a friend who's directing an ambitious sci-fi short and we're looking for an Art Assistant to join our team. It's a really cool concept, sort of a retro-futuristic, psychological thriller vibe with some exciting set pieces. We're aiming for a strong festival run. As our Art Assistant, you'll be crucial in helping the Production Designer bring their vision to life. This will involve prop sourcing, set dressing, some light fabrication, and generally being an extra set of hands during prep and on set. We're looking for someone enthusiastic and resourceful, ready to jump in. No specific gear is required from you, but a keen eye for detail and a good work ethic are a must. Experience is great, but honestly, if you're passionate about art direction and eager to learn on an independent production, please reach out! A reel isn't necessary, but if you have any photos of your work, feel free to send them over. We anticipate shooting for about 3-4 days in late July/early August, mostly in the LA area. Daily hours will be typical independent film hours, but we'll make sure you're fed and watered. This is a deferred payment gig, with a backend percentage offered for everyone involved. It's a fantastic opportunity to get a cool credit and collaborate on a project we're really excited about. Let's make some movie magic!
