Art Director, Commercial Spot (Brooklyn)

Looking for a talented Art Director for a ~30-second commercial spot. This is for an independent production, featuring a comedic, slightly absurd take on a home goods product. We're aiming for a vibrant, quirky aesthetic that will stand out. You'll be responsible for developing the visual concept from script to screen, overseeing set design, prop selection, and styling, and ensuring all art elements align with the creative vision. Collaboration with the director and DP will be key throughout pre-production and on set. We need someone with mid-level experience in commercial or narrative art direction, who can bring creative solutions and manage a small budget effectively. Please have a portfolio or reel showcasing your best work. Experience with practical builds and sourcing unique props is a big plus. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for late March/early April, 2-3 days of shooting in Brooklyn. Approximately 10-hour days. We will provide a modest art budget, craft services, and production support. This is a paid position, $1000-1500/day based on experience.
