Camera for Short Film
Hey everyone, I'm Simone, a 2nd AD on an upcoming independent short film and we're looking for a dedicated Camera Assistant to join our crew! It's a character-driven drama, exploring themes of memory and loss, with a nuanced visual style. We’re working with a small but passionate team and really hoping to create something special. Your main responsibilities will involve setting up and breaking down camera equipment, managing lenses and accessories, pulling focus, and ensuring everything runs smoothly on set. We're a volunteer crew, so this is a great chance to get some valuable experience and network. We're ideally looking for someone with some prior experience as a CA or similar role on student or indie productions, and it definitely helps if you have your own essential toolkit. A reel or examples of past work, even student projects, would be a huge plus. We anticipate shooting for 3-4 days in mid-August (exact dates TBD, but we'll confirm soon) with typical 10-12 hour days. We'll be providing meals and snacks on set, of course, and you'll get full IMDb credit for your work. Based out of Vancouver, BC. Let me know if you're interested!
