Entry VFX Artist, Sci-Fi Pilot

Looking for a talented entry-level VFX artist for a compelling pilot episode of a sci-fi mystery series. This project, an independent production, explores themes of parallel dimensions and forgotten memories, with a grounded, atmospheric tone. We need someone eager to bring subtle yet impactful visual effects to life, enhancing the narrative without being flashy. Your primary responsibility will be creating and compositing visual effects shots, primarily focusing on environmental enhancements, subtle energy effects, and minor digital set extensions. You’ll be working closely with the director to achieve their vision. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of Adobe After Effects (or equivalent software) and strong compositing skills. Please share your reel or a portfolio of your VFX work, even if it's student or personal projects. This is a paid position at $250/day (flat rate) and will require you to work on location in Brooklyn, NY. We're projecting approximately 3-5 days of work spread across late June/early July, with flexible hours depending on the specific shots. While we'll provide source footage and artistic direction, having your own laptop with necessary software is a plus. We're a small, passionate crew and excited to welcome a creative individual to help us launch this exciting series.
