Locations for Web Series

Hey filmmakers! I'm Grace, a casting director working on an exciting new independent web series in Los Angeles and we're looking for a talented Location Scout/Manager. This project is a quirky, character-driven comedy with some fantastical elements, think a blend of awkward humor and lighthearted magic. We need someone with a good eye for unique spaces and the organizational skills to keep everything running smoothly on location. You'll be responsible for scouting, securing, and managing all our shooting locations throughout pre-production and production. This includes finding visually interesting and suitable spots that fit our script, negotiating fees, obtaining permits, and being the primary point of contact with property owners. On set, you'll ensure the location is prepped, maintained, and returned to its original state. We're looking for someone with entry-level experience in location scouting or management, ideally with some local knowledge of diverse L.A. neighborhoods. You should have strong communication skills and be resourceful. While we don't require specific gear, a reliable vehicle and a smartphone are essential. Expect full days during production, with more flexible scouting hours initially. We're offering a competitive day rate of $500-800, depending on experience and the demands of the shoot.
