Production Assistant, Doc Series
Hey filmmakers, I'm a Location Manager currently working on an upcoming documentary series based here in New York City and we're looking for a sharp Production Assistant to join our team. This is a compelling, character-driven project exploring untold stories within the city, with a thoughtful and intimate tone. We’re working with a small, dedicated crew and this is a great opportunity for someone looking to get their foot in the door on a significant independent production. As our PA, you'll be instrumental in supporting our day-to-day operations, assisting with general set tasks, runs (picking up gear, lunch, supplies), managing releases, and helping with light administrative duties. Flexibility and a can-do attitude are key. Previous PA experience, even on student or short films, is a plus but not strictly required. You'll need to have a valid driver's license and ideally, access to a car (we cover mileage and tolls). Please come prepared with a smartphone for communication and basic apps. Shoot dates are currently planned for a 3-4 week block in late June/early July, with some prep days beforehand. Days will be 10-12 hours. We provide meals on set, and you will be compensated at a rate of $100-200/day, depending on experience. While a reel isn't necessary for this role, tell us a bit about your experience and why you're interested in documentary work in a short cover letter.
