Locations for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, I'm producing an upcoming sci-fi short film and we're on the hunt for a seasoned Lead Location Scout. This is a suspenseful, character-driven piece with a unique visual style we're really excited about. We need someone who can find truly distinctive Chicago locations that aren't just pretty but tell a story and fit our specific moody, near-future aesthetic. You'll be responsible for identifying, recce-ing, and negotiating access for all primary and secondary shooting locations, working closely with the director and production designer. We're looking for someone with a strong portfolio showcasing their location scouting abilities on similar independent productions. Please have your own reliable transportation and a keen eye for detail. Experience with permits and city liaison is a big plus. We anticipate a roughly 10-12 hour day on location.
