Locations for Short Film

Hey filmmakers, we're on the hunt for a dedicated Location Scout for an intriguing sci-fi thriller short film. This project delves into themes of artificial intelligence and urban isolation, with a slightly gritty, neo-noir aesthetic. We need someone with a keen eye for Brooklyn's forgotten corners and unique industrial spaces. Your main responsibilities will include researching and scouting potential locations, taking detailed photos and videos, and assisting with obtaining necessary permits or permissions. Experience with independent short film productions is a plus, but we're open to enthusiastic entry-level applicants ready to dive in. While no specific gear is required, owning a decent camera (even a smartphone with a good lens) for location photos is helpful. A reel or portfolio demonstrating your visual sense, even if it's just photography, would be great to see. The shoot dates are tentatively planned for late summer, likely 2-3 full days of scouting before production begins. We're a small, passionate crew and while this is a deferred pay gig, you'll be an integral part of bringing this vision to life and credited accordingly. We'll cover any travel expenses incurred during scouting.
