Locations Scout/Manager, Web Series

Hey Austin film community, an independent production is seeking a motivated Locations Scout/Manager for an upcoming web series, a dark comedy with supernatural elements, think 'What We Do in the Shadows' meets 'Portlandia.' We've got some great scripts and a talented core team, just need someone to help us find the perfect backdrop for our quirky story. Your main responsibilities will include scouting and securing diverse locations in and around Austin, negotiating access, managing permits if needed, and coordinating logistics on shoot days. We're looking for someone with at least a couple of indie productions under their belt who can hit the ground running. While a reel isn't really applicable here, strong organizational skills and a good eye for visually interesting spaces are a must. Experience with location agreements, even informal ones, is a plus. Our shoot dates are flexible, primarily weekends in late spring/early summer. Expect around 8-10 hour days when we're on location. This is a volunteer position, but you'll receive full credit appropriate for your role, fantastic on-set meals, and plenty of networking opportunities with a passionate crew.
