Mid-Level VFX Artist, Music Video (Chicago)

Hey, I'm helping get the crew together for an upcoming independent music video shoot here in Chicago and we're looking for a talented mid-level Visual Effects Artist. It's a really cool project, a surreal, almost dream-like R&B video with some stylized fantasy elements we're hoping to bring to life. Imagine ethereal glows, subtle magical effects, and some creative compositing to enhance the vibe. You'll be mainly responsible for executing specific VFX shots, integrating elements , and collaborating with the director on the overall visual direction. We're looking for someone with a solid reel showcasing their compositing and effects work, preferably with experience in music videos or stylized shorts. You should be proficient in industry-standard software (Nuke, After Effects, etc.). We're not providing gear, so please come prepared with your own workstation and software. Shoot dates are approximate, probably early August for a few days, followed by post production work. Expect long but fulfilling days. We provide crafty and a great on-set atmosphere. Compensation is $1000-1500 per day, depending on experience and the scope of work.
