Navigating AI & Likeness: How are you actually doing it?

Hey everyone, I'm a 2nd AD, Simone, and I've been seeing more and more discussions pop up about AI in filmmaking, especially with things like editing tools and, more critically, the legal standards around actor likeness. It's a lot to wrap my head around. My current project, a mid-budget indie thriller, had a few moments where AI-assisted tools popped up as suggestions for quick fixes in post, but we decided against it for various reasons, mainly unfamiliarity. But the likeness stuff is starting to feel like a real minefield.

I’m curious how those of you directing are practically preparing for or incorporating these AI technologies and ethical guidelines into your actual directorial process. Are you building specific clauses into contracts? Are you actively experimenting with certain AI editing software? I'm genuinely looking for hands-on, real-world experience here, not just theoretical discussions. What are you actually DOING?
