Assistant Editor, Web Series

Hey filmmakers, I'm a documentary editor working on an exciting upcoming web series and looking for an experienced Assistant Editor to join our team. This series is an indie dramedy that explores the absurdities of life in modern Brooklyn, touching on themes of gentrification, artistic struggle, and finding connection in a chaotic city. We've got a fantastic script and a passionate small production company behind us. As Assistant Editor, you'll be crucial in keeping our post-production workflow smooth. Your main responsibilities will include organizing footage, syncing audio, creating dailies, preparing rough cuts, managing media, and handling exports for review. You'll work closely with me, ensuring everything is prepped and ready for editing. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of Adobe Premiere Pro, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience with sound design basic color correction is a plus. While gear isn't explicitly required, a reliable laptop capable of handling large video files would be beneficial. Please include a reel or examples of your previous assistant editing work. This is a paid position, offering $150-300 per day, depending on experience. We anticipate post-production will run for approximately 4-6 weeks, with flexible hours that we can discuss.
