Post-Production for Feature Film

Hey film community, I'm Sara, a Post-Production Supervisor, and I'm looking for a talented Assistant Editor to join our team for an independent feature film. This is a gritty, character-driven drama with elements of a psychological thriller, exploring themes of resilience and redemption. It's a challenging but deeply rewarding story that we're all very passionate about bringing to life. Your primary responsibilities will include organizing and syncing footage, creating dailies, managing media, preparing sequences for the editor, and assisting with various post-production workflows. We need someone who is meticulous, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while adhering to established post-production protocols. Strong communication is key, as you'll be working closely with the picture editor and myself. We require experience as an Assistant Editor on at least one feature or multiple short films, and proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Please have a current reel or work samples showcasing your organizational skills and attention to detail, ideally with examples of dailies or media management. This is a deferred compensation position, with a backend percentage offered. We anticipate post-production will run for approximately 3-4 months, starting in late summer. You'll be working out of our production office in Minneapolis, with flexible but consistent hours averaging 40 hours per week. We'll provide all necessary software and a dedicated workstation.
