Reeltime Viewer & On-Set Dynamics: Your Experiences?

Hey everyone, Sofia Reyes here. I'm a location scout, and I've been noticing a really interesting shift recently with apps like Pomfort Reeltime Viewer becoming more common. On my last couple of projects, I've seen more department heads and even some producers just pulling up the live feed on their phones or tablets, even when they're not physically in video village.

It's got me wondering: how is this changing things for you all? For us scouts, sometimes we're fielding questions about a 'problem' on screen that someone's seeing on their personal device, not from the director or AD directly. Is this making communication more efficient, or is it creating more silos? Are department heads feeling more or less empowered? I'm genuinely curious about how this is impacting the 'traditional' on-set hierarchy and communication flow, good or bad.
