Territory-by-Territory vs. All Rights: When to simplify for small indies?

Hey everyone, Lucas here. I’m currently gaffing on a really cool, gritty urban drama, super low budget but punching above its weight aesthetically. We're getting into the distribution conversation now, and honestly, it's a bit overwhelming. The producers are looking at the potential of selling rights territory by territory, thinking about maximizing revenue. But it feels like a monumental task for a small team with limited resources.

My gut tells me that for a film of our size, with no major cast names, trying to chase individual deals across dozens of territories might just eat up all the potential profit in legal fees and administrative headaches. We've had a few initial conversations with aggregators offering 'all rights' deals for major streaming platforms, and while the upfront offer felt a bit low, the simplicity is appealing.

So, my real question is: at what point does the 'ideal' complex, territory-by-territory sales strategy become genuinely impractical, and a simpler 'all rights' deal with a single aggregator become the smarter, more realistic choice for a smaller film like ours? What are the key indicators for making that call?
