Art Department Assistant for Genre Feature Film

Shooting in Los Angeles, CA this summer (August-September, exact dates TBD), we're seeking a passionate Art Department Assistant for an independent feature film. This project is a character-driven psychological thriller with leanings into horror, exploring themes of isolation and psychological decay. It's a visually rich story, offering a fantastic opportunity to collaborate closely on bringing a specific aesthetic to life. You'll work directly with me, the Art Director, helping with set decoration, prop management, fabrication, and on-set dressing. Key responsibilities include assisting with research, sourcing materials, organizing the art department workspace, and providing on-set support (adjusting props, maintaining continuity, etc.). This is a great chance for someone mid-level looking to gain hands-on feature experience and contribute significantly to a compelling narrative. While this is a volunteer, passion project, we'll provide meals and a great learning environment. We're looking for someone enthusiastic, organized, and with a strong work ethic.
