Art Dept. Assistant, Feature (Entry-Level)

Hey, Hannah here, an Art Director on an upcoming independent feature film. We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Art Department Assistant to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a suspenseful thriller, a real character-driven piece, and we're excited to build some truly impactful sets and props for it. As our Art Department Assistant, you'll be a crucial part of bringing the visual world of the film to life. Key responsibilities include assisting with prop sourcing, set decoration, organizing the art department workspace, running errands, and generally supporting the Art Director and Production Designer. It's a great opportunity to learn the ropes of a feature film art department from the ground up. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive attitude. Experience is not essential, but a passion for film and readiness to jump in and help wherever needed is. A valid driver's license and access to a car are a must for this role. While you won't need specific gear, a good attitude and willingness to get your hands dirty will go a long way. The shoot is expected to be about 4-5 weeks, likely starting late summer or early fall. We anticipate 10-12 hour days, standard for indie features. We'll be providing lunch and snacks on set. This is a paid position, offering $200-400 per day, depending on experience.
