Color Grading for Documentary
Hey Vancouver colorists, I'm a camera operator on an independent documentary feature looking for a talented colorist to join our team. This film explores the vibrant, complex world of urban agriculture in several BC communities, focusing on the human connection to food and land. It's a visually rich project with a mix of candid cinéma vérité and carefully framed interviews, aiming for a natural yet impactful aesthetic. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for detail and a knack for bringing out the emotional depth in footage. Your primary responsibility will be to perform color grading on all final footage, ensuring consistency and enhancing the film's overall look. You'll need your own grading suite and software, and proven experience working on documentary projects is a must. Please provide a demo reel showcasing your narrative and documentary work. This is a mid-level position, offering $200-400 per day, depending on experience. We're looking to start post-production in late summer/early fall. The work will be done remotely, though we'd love to meet up in Vancouver for initial discussions. We're a small production company, but we're passionate about this story and keen to collaborate with a skilled artist. Reach out with your reel and a bit about your rates!
