Feature Film Colorist (Remote OK)
Hey filmmakers, I'm a Script Supervisor on a super cool independent feature film looking for a talented Colorist to join our post-production team. We've just wrapped principal photography on a heartfelt drama, with some subtle thriller elements, that was shot mostly on location around Los Angeles. The story centers on a young artist uncovering a family secret which leads to some pretty intense revelations. We’re aiming for a rich, cinematic look that enhances the emotional arc without being overly stylized. If you’re into projects that balance strong character work with suspense, this could be a great fit. Your main responsibilities will be to develop and execute a consistent color grade for the entire film, working closely with our Director and DP to achieve their vision. This includes primary and secondary corrections, balancing exposure, and finessing the overall aesthetic to support the narrative. You'll need your own grading suite and software, and a strong eye for visual storytelling. We’re open to all experience levels, from emerging talent to seasoned pros, as long as you have a killer reel that demonstrates your skills. We anticipate this work running for approximately 2-3 weeks, sometime in late July or early August, for about 8-10 hours per day. Exact dates are flexible and will be determined with the selected candidate. We’re offering a rate of $200-400 per day, depending on experience. While we’re based in Los Angeles, this position can be fully remote. Please send over your reel and a brief cover letter outlining your experience.
