Production Designer, Sci-Fi Short (Volunteer)

Hey everyone, Adriana here. We're looking for a talented Production Designer to join our small independent production for an upcoming short film, 'Chrono-Shift.' It's a character-driven sci-fi drama with a psychological thriller edge, exploring themes of memory and reality within a near-future setting. We’re aiming for a grounded, slightly stylized aesthetic, think 'Ex Machina' meets 'Eternal Sunshine.' As our Production Designer, you'll be crucial in bringing our unique vision to life. You'll be responsible for developing the overall visual concept, designing and sourcing set dressings, props, and ensuring the continuity of the visual style across all locations. We definitely need someone who can be resourceful and creative on a limited budget. This is an entry-level, volunteer position, perfect for someone looking to build their reel and gain hands-on experience. We're shooting in Los Angeles, approximately 3-4 days in late July or early August, exact dates TBD based on crew availability. We'll provide meals and a copy of the final film for your portfolio. Please have a portfolio or some examples of your design work ready to share. No specific gear is required for this role, just your creativity and problem-solving skills.
