Entry-Level VFX Artist, Nashville Doc

Documentary VFX Nashville, TN entry Budget: Revenue share

Hey everyone, Autumn here. We're looking for an enthusiastic entry-level VFX Artist to join our team for an independent documentary project based in Nashville. It's a really compelling story that explores the history of Nashville's music scene, featuring rare archival footage and interviews with legendary artists. We're aiming for a classic, authentic feel, so the VFX will be subtle, primarily focusing on things like restoration, clean-up, and some minor historical recreation elements to enhance the archival material. Your main responsibilities will include contributing to visual effects shots, rotoscoping, paint-out work, and potentially some motion graphics for maps or historical timelines. We're looking for someone with a solid understanding of VFX software, preferably After Effects, Nuke, or similar. Please have a portfolio or reel demonstrating your skills, even if it's student work or personal projects. No specific gear required from your end, we'll provide the necessary software licenses and a workstation. We anticipate needing assistance intermittently over the next 4-6 months, with more concentrated periods closer to our post-production deadlines. This is a great opportunity to get real-world experience on a meaningful project. Since we're an independent production, compensation will be structured as a partnership, offering a revenue share from the film's distribution. Let's make some magic happen!
