First RAW Project: What's the BIGGEST Newbie Mistake?

Hey everyone,

I'm diving into my first ever documentary project shot entirely in RAW, and honestly, the learning curve is steeper than I anticipated. I'm primarily shooting on an FX30, occasionally grabbing a RED KOMODO for specific shots, and recording with a MixPre-6 II, so the files are pretty beefy.

I've been trying to educate myself, and I keep seeing warnings about underestimating GPU power and not using proxies. But that makes me wonder, from those of you who've been doing this for a while: what's the single most common and costly mistake a newcomer like me makes when attempting their very first RAW project? I'm trying to avoid any huge, time-sucking blunders down the line.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom!
