Streamlining Checksums & Folder Structure in DIT Workflow?

Hey everyone,

I'm Luc, a Steadicam op who's just wrapped a commercial with an ALEXA Mini and a narrative short on a VENICE 2. During both, I was struck again by how critical good data management is. I've been looking into implementing stricter, consistent folder rules and checksum verification on set, aiming for a more robust workflow.

My DIT currently handles basic card offloads and a single backup, but we're not routinely doing checksums or super rigid folder structures beyond 'Project_Card_Date.' For those who've successfully moved to a system with consistent folder rules and proper checksums, how did you integrate this without creating a bottleneck, especially on fast-paced shoots? Did it require a significant overhaul of your DIT's process, or more of a gentle transition? Did you add more DIT personnel or specific software?

Looking for real-world experiences here. Thanks!
