Most Catastrophic Social Media Mistake for Filmmakers?
Hey everyone, I'm Miguel, a drone operator branching out into more of the social media side for the projects I shoot. I've been working on a series of short docs about local artisans, shot mostly on my V-RAPTOR XL with some aerials, and I've been trying to figure out the best way to get these out to a wider audience online. We're using an amaran 150c and a Forza 500 II for our lighting setup, and an MKH 416 for audio, so we've got solid production value.
I've seen various resources outlining common social media blunders for filmmakers, everything from bad content repurposing to completely ignoring UGC licensing. Those all make sense, and I’m trying to avoid them. But it got me thinking. If you had to pick one mistake, the single most damaging one that's hardest to recover from in a social media campaign, what would it be? What's the 'point of no return' error that can really sink a project's online presence?
