When does LED Volume interactive light fall short, needing traditional fixtures?

Hey everyone, I'm DPing a commercial project right now, a car ad with some ambitious virtual environments. We're shooting on an ALEXA Mini LF with Supremes, and the plan is to rely heavily on the LED volume for all our interactive light. I've been told the volume handles everything, emitting light that truly impacts the car in a realistic way. However, my instincts tell me there have to be limits to this, real-world situations where the volume's interactive light just isn't enough, and we'd still need to bring in SkyPanel Xs or Orbiters.

So, from those of you with practical experience on shoots using LED volumes, what specific scenarios have you encountered where the volume's interactive light truly failed to deliver, forcing you to revert to significant traditional lighting setups? I'm trying to anticipate potential pitfalls and budget for traditional fixtures if needed, rather than being caught off guard.
