Beginner workflow mistakes: What's the biggest cost?

Hey everyone,

I'm Omar, a Steadicam op, and often find myself involved at various stages of production, not just operating the rig. We just wrapped a commercial shoot where I was flying an ALEXA Mini on my rig for most of the principal photography, and now I'm prepping for a documentary project where I'll be working with a KOMODO.

I've been reviewing a lot of information online about modern post-production workflows, specifically concerning things like managing proxies and dealing with dialogue. It consistently brings up potential pitfalls like over-relying on automated filler-word removal in theory, or neglecting proxy workflows early on.

From your collective experience, what's the single most common and costly mistake beginners make when it comes to these modern editing and post-production workflows that often gets overlooked until it's too late?
