Sustainability for the Solo Filmmaker: Where to Focus Our Efforts?

As a camera operator navigating the indie film world, I often find myself wearing so many hats, prepping gear for my Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2, wrangling my array of Helios Tubes, even making sure my MKH 50 is recording properly. I'm really trying to make my personal workflows more sustainable, but it feels like there's so much information out there, often geared towards larger productions.

I've been experimenting with Scriptation for digital scripts and call sheets, which has been great for reducing paper waste, and I'm conscious about charging my amaran 150c and C300 Mark III batteries efficiently. I've also done a small 'waste audit' of my gear prep area, mostly just tracking what I throw away after a shoot.

For those of us who are essentially one-person crews or working on very lean indie projects, what are the most critical sustainability tasks we should be prioritizing? Beyond paperless workflows or a basic waste audit, what truly moves the needle for a filmmaker who juggles everything themselves?
