AI Music: Temp Score to Primary Score for Indies in 5 Years?

Hey everyone, I'm cutting a short film right now (a drama shot mostly on an AMIRA with a set of Cooke S4s) and for the temp score, I've been messing around with some AI music generators. Honestly, some of the outputs are surprisingly good for getting a feel for the scene, especially when I'm still figuring out pacing and emotional beats. It's saved me a ton of time compared to digging through licensing libraries.

But it got me thinking. We're already seeing AI do some incredible things. Do you think these tools, like AIVA or Soundraw, will evolve enough in the next five years to become actual primary scoring solutions for independent films? I'm not talking about replacing bespoke composers entirely, but rather for those projects where budget is super tight and a custom score isn't feasible. Will they move beyond just 'temp' and start delivering something truly production-ready and emotionally resonant without heavy human intervention? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
