Are new tech tools changing traditional story structures?
Hey everyone,
I'm Nina Kowalski, a working screenwriter, and I've been giving a lot of thought to how things are evolving. I'm currently outlining a new pilot and have been dabbling with some of the newer, more intuitive editing software features, and even experimenting with a few AI pre-vis tools just to get a visual sense of some scenes quickly. They're definitely making some aspects of my process faster.
It's got me wondering: with editing becoming so much more accessible and AI helping with storyboarding, do you think these tech advancements are actually changing how we plan and stick to traditional structures like the 3-Act or Sequence Method? Are they making it easier to experiment with story more fluidly, or maybe even encouraging entirely new structural approaches we haven't seen before? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
