Organic A/B Testing for Zero-Budget Indie Films?
Hey everyone,
Raj Patel here. Typically, I’m wrangling focus on sets using an ALEXA Mini or a V-RAPTOR XL, but I’ve been trying to get my own indie short off the ground. We shot it entirely on a borrowed C300 Mark III with a couple of Helios Tubes for lighting, truly zero-budget on the marketing side.
I’ve been diving into advice on promoting indie films, and a common theme is micro-testing paid ads with $100-$500 to see what resonates. My problem is, we genuinely don’t have that kind of money for advertising.
So, my question is: for a truly zero-budget indie film, how can you replicate this data-driven, A/B testing approach using purely organic methods? What platforms, content types, or strategies can you use to test different messaging, visuals, or calls to action without spending a dime, to figure out what gets people engaged? Thanks in advance for any insights!
