Indie Wardrobe Continuity on a Shoestring, DIT Hacks Needed!
Hey team, Terrence here. I'm currently DITing a micro-budget indie feature, shooting on an ALEXA Mini, and we're constantly fighting the clock. Wardrobe continuity is becoming a real headache. In theory, detailed photo logs and notes are the way to go, but our AD is also juggling props, and there’s no dedicated wardrobe person or budget for fancy software. We're using phone photos haphazardly and it's already causing grief with multiples and subtle aging/breakdown across scenes shot out of order.
I’ve tried grabbing quick shots on my phone when I get a spare second, but it's not consistent enough. How do you all effectively manage wardrobe continuity (especially with changes, dirt, or damage) when you have practically no art department budget or dedicated personnel? What are your most effective, low-tech hacks for tracking this stuff reliably? I'm open to anything!
