VFX Artist, Documentary Series

Documentary VFX Brooklyn, NY mid Budget: $200-400/day

Hey everyone, Aiden Cross here. I'm looking for a talented VFX Artist to join my team for an upcoming independent documentary series based out of Brooklyn. This project is a really compelling look at urban environmentalism, with some unique storytelling opportunities that will benefit greatly from well-executed visual effects. We're aiming for subtle, impactful VFX that enhance the narrative, not overpower it. Think motion graphics for data visualization, cleanup work, modest composites, and some creative digital enhancements to archival footage. You'll be responsible for executing these effects from concept to final delivery, working closely with the director and post-production supervisor. We're looking for someone with around 3-5 years of experience in documentary or similar independent film work. Please have your own workstation and relevant software (After Effects, Nuke, etcetera) ready to go. A strong reel showcasing your visual effects capabilities, especially for non-narrative or documentary projects, is essential. We're anticipating a several month engagement starting late summer, with flexible hours but an expectation of in-person collaboration at our Brooklyn studio for key stages. Day rate is $200-400, commensurate with experience. We'll provide lunch on full workdays.
