VFX for Documentary
Hey all, I'm a Dolly Grip on an upcoming independent documentary feature and we're looking for a talented VFX artist to join our team. This film explores the incredible, often unseen, world of bioluminescent marine life, and we'll need some subtle but impactful visual effects to bring certain sequences to life. Think enhancing natural light, compositing scientific animations, and some delicate cleanup work. Not huge explosions or anything, but really helping to elevate the visual storytelling. Your responsibilities will primarily involve compositing, rotoscoping, and some light 3D work to integrate scientific data and artistic interpretations. We need someone who can work collaboratively with our director and editor. Please have a strong reel showcasing your documentary or natural history work, or projects demonstrating a keen eye for realism and subtlety. Your experience level isn't as important as your portfolio here, so even if you're newer but have great work, please apply! We anticipate needing you for 2-3 weeks of work, potentially staggered, sometime between late July and August. This is a paid position, $500-800 per 10-hour day, depending on your experience. We're based in Los Angeles and prefer local artists. We'll provide all necessary footage and assets, but you'll need your own workstation and software. Let me know if you're interested!
