Director, Sci-Fi Web Series (Entry-Level)

Seeking an enthusiastic entry-level Director for an independent web series, “Nexus Echoes.” This is a gritty sci-fi drama, imagine ‘Battlestar Galactica’ meets ‘Children of Men,’ focusing on a small crew trying to survive after an interstellar event. We’re looking for someone who can bring a strong visual style and compelling performances to our small screen. You’ll be responsible for creative vision, guiding cast and crew, and working closely with the Cinematographer and Producer to achieve our narrative goals. We need someone with a solid grasp of storytelling, an eye for detail, and the ability to inspire a team. You should have your own basic directing kit (monitor, slate, etc.) and a reel showcasing any short films, student projects, or even strong commercial work. We’re particularly interested in fresh voices with unique perspectives. Your reel doesn't need a huge budget, just solid execution and vision. Shoot dates are approximately 5-7 days in late July/early August, 10-12 hour days, primarily in and around Los Angeles. We'll handle location scouting, permitting, and a modest cast/crew. This is a paid position, $250 a day flat rate. Coffee and craft services will be provided, of course. Show us what you've got!
