Director for Sci-Fi Drama Short

Hey everyone, my name is Megan and I’m a script supervisor working on an exciting independent production. We're looking for a passionate and creative Director for a character-driven sci-fi drama short film. It's a contained story exploring themes of memory and time, with a slightly melancholic yet hopeful tone. We're aiming for a strong festival run. As our Director, you'll be responsible for bringing the script to life visually, guiding performances, and overseeing the artistic vision of the film. We need someone who can articulate their vision clearly and work collaboratively with a small, dedicated crew. This is an entry-level, volunteer position perfect for someone looking to build their reel. While gear isn't explicitly required for this role, demonstrating experience with indie short filmmaking through a strong reel or previous work is a must. Prior experience directing actors is also important. Shoot dates are approximately late June / early July, likely 3-4 days. We'll be providing meals and IMDb credit for your invaluable contributions.
