Art Department for Documentary

Hey Albuquerque film community, we're looking for an experienced Senior Art Director to join our team for an upcoming independent documentary feature. This isn't your typical talking-head doc; it's a visually driven project exploring the surprising history of a unique regional craft, mixing archival elements with stylistically reconstructed scenes. We need someone with a strong eye for visual storytelling and experience bringing conceptual ideas to life on a modest budget. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the art department, from set dressing and props to coordinating with camera and lighting for specific visual needs. We're looking for someone who's resourceful, creative, and can lead a small team. You should have a proven track record (please share your reel or portfolio) in art direction for narrative or documentary work. While we'll have some basic tools and materials, we expect you to have your own art supplies kit. Shoot dates are approximately August 12-23, with some prep days before. We're generally working 10-hour days. This is a paid position, $250/day flat.
