1st AC, Feature Film (Deferred Pay)
Hey filmmakers, I'm Marco, an underwater cinematographer, and I'm looking for a skilled 1st AC for an upcoming independent feature film shooting in Miami. This is a dramatic thriller with some intense sequences, and we're aiming for a gritty, realistic look. It's an exciting project with a tight-knit crew, and we'll be relying on everyone to bring their A-game. Your main responsibilities will include pulling sharp focus, managing camera setup and breakdown, maintaining camera equipment, and assisting the DP with all technical aspects. We'll be shooting on a Red Komodo, so experience with that camera system is definitely a plus. We're looking for someone with at least some entry-level experience on independent features or narrative shorts. You should be familiar with various lenses and camera accessories, and quick on your feet. A good understanding of camera prep and troubleshooting is essential. You'll need to bring your own focus-pulling tools, but camera and lenses will be provided. Please send over your reel or a list of projects you've worked on. Shoot dates are tentatively scheduled for 3 weeks in late September, early October. Expect long days, but we'll try to keep things reasonable. This is a deferred payment opportunity with points in the film, ideal for someone looking to build their feature film resume.
