Comp Artist for Sci-Fi Short (Remote OK)

Hey fellow filmmakers! I'm Yuki Tanaka, a VFX Artist, working on an upcoming independent short sci-fi film and seeking a talented Compositing Artist to join our crew. This is a suspenseful piece following an astronaut stranded in deep space after a mysterious incident, exploring themes of isolation and humanity's place in the cosmos. We have some exciting practical effects and CG elements that need to be brought together cohesively. Your primary responsibility will be compositing various VFX plates, CG elements, and practical footage to create final shots. Experience with Nuke, After Effects, or Fusion is a must. A strong eye for detail, color, and realism is crucial. Please share your reel or portfolio showcasing your compositing work. We're open to all experience levels, from emerging artists to seasoned pros. This is a deferred compensation project, offering a backend percentage of any festival winnings or distribution. While we are based in San Francisco, this role is fully remote-friendly. We're aiming for principal photography in late spring, with VFX work commencing shortly after. We're a small, passionate team, and this promises to be a creatively rewarding experience.
