VFX for Feature Film

Feature Film VFX Atlanta, GA senior Budget: Revenue share

We're gearing up for an independent feature film, a gritty, character-driven crime thriller set against the backdrop of the Atlanta docks. Think a mix of "The Departed" and "Winter's Bone," exploring moral ambiguities in a tough environment. We're seeking a talented Senior VFX Artist to join our team on a revenue-share basis. This is a chance to make a significant creative contribution to an exciting project with high artistic ambitions. Your main responsibilities will include keying, compositing, rotoscoping, and some environmental enhancements. We're looking for someone with a strong eye for detail and the ability to integrate visual effects into live-action footage, maintaining a grounded, realistic tone. You'll be working closely with the director and post-production supervisor. Candidates should have a strong reel demonstrating senior-level experience on at least two feature films or a significant body of work in long-form content. You'll need access to your own VFX workstation and software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve Fusion). While we don't have hard shoot dates yet, we anticipate post-production to begin late August or early September 2026, requiring a commitment of approximately 20-30 hours per week for about 10-12 weeks. This is a remote position, but preference will be given to Atlanta-based artists for occasional in-person meetings. We'll provide all necessary footage and detailed creative briefs.
