Editor for Drama Short, Lagos

Hey filmmakers, I'm a screenwriter in Lagos working on an upcoming independent short film and I'm looking for a talented entry-level Editor to join my small but passionate team. This drama, with touches of magical realism, tells a poignant story about resilience in the face of adversity, set against the vibrant backdrop of Lagos. What makes it interesting is its unique perspective on everyday struggles, giving voice to often-unheard narratives. Your key responsibilities will involve assembling raw footage into a polished final product, ensuring continuity, pacing, and overall narrative flow. We're looking for someone who can bring their creative vision to the editing suite. While bringing your own editing software is a plus, it's not strictly required. We'd love to see a reel or examples of your previous editing work, even if it's student projects or personal creative endeavors. The approximate shoot dates are late July, with editing to follow immediately. We anticipate about 20-30 hours of work, spread across a few weeks. This is a volunteer position, but you'll receive full credit for your work and meals will be provided during work sessions.
