Entry-Level Sound Designer, Documentary
Hey there, I'm Noah. I'm putting together a documentary project, an intimate exploration of urban art scenes, focusing on unsung heroes and their creative processes. It's got a really raw, observational vibe, gritty but with moments of pure beauty. We're looking for an entry-level Sound Designer to join the team. You'll be responsible for all post-production sound elements, including dialogue editing, sound effects design and editing, Foley, and mixing for the final picture. We need someone who can really craft an immersive sonic landscape that complements the visuals without overshadowing them. You should have your own portable sound design workstation, including software and basic plugins. Experience with documentary sound, even on student or personal projects, is a huge plus, but the most important thing is a good ear and a strong demo reel showcasing your best work. We're aiming for principal photography in late spring, so post-production sound will likely fall between early summer and late summer. We're offering a daily rate of $300-500, with an estimated 8-10 hour workday. We'll provide all necessary sync files and project access. This is a great opportunity to get a solid credit on an independent production and really make a creative impact. Looking forward to hearing from you!
