Sound Designer, Music Video (Chicago)

Hey everyone, I'm a re-recording mixer looking for some talented sound design help for an upcoming music video project. This is a high-energy, narrative-driven music video blending hip-hop with some surreal, almost psychedelic elements. We really want the sound to add to the dreamlike quality and enhance the storytelling, not just be decorative. We need a dedicated Sound Designer to create original soundscapes, foley, and spot effects that truly elevate the visuals. Think unique textures and impactful moments. You'll be responsible for all design elements, working closely with the director and eventually me during the mix phase. Ideally, you'll have your own workstation and a solid understanding of creative sound design workflows. Experience with similar high-concept shorts or music videos is definitely a plus. Please submit a reel or link to past work demonstrating your creative sound design capabilities. This is an entry-level opportunity but we're looking for someone with a strong artistic ear. Shoot dates are TBD but looking at early to mid-August. This is a contract position for approximately 2-3 weeks of post-production work. Compensation is $500-800 per day, depending on experience.
