Mid-Level VFX Artist, Documentary (Brooklyn)

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a talented mid-level VFX Artist for an upcoming independent documentary project here in Brooklyn. This is a really unique film exploring urban wildlife and has a visually rich, slightly stylized tone, blending observational footage with some more abstract sequences. We'll need a lot of creative collaboration on this one to really bring out the visual themes. Your primary responsibilities will include 2D and 3D compositing, rotoscoping, tracking, and clean-up work. We're looking for someone who can integrate visual effects into existing footage, handling everything from basic plate clean-up to more complex environmental enhancements. Experience with Nuke, After Effects, and ideally some 3D software (Blender, Cinema 4D) is really important. Please share your reel or a portfolio with documentary or independent film examples. We're projecting about 4-6 weeks of work, potentially starting in late April or early May, with some flexibility. Working hours will be standard business hours, generally M-F. We'll be providing all necessary project files and a comfortable, collaborative work environment at our studio. Looking forward to seeing your work!
