Low-Budget Workflow: Calendars & Version Control Hacks?

Hey folks, Antoine Marsh here, working as a camera op. My biggest challenge consistently boils down to budget, or the lack thereof. I often find myself on projects with a skeleton crew and next to no cash, but we still need some semblance of producer-level organization.

I'm talking specifically about Calendars and Version Control. How are you all adapting these 'Producer's Workflow Bible' concepts? I've tried juggling Google Calendar and shared Docs, but keeping track of script revisions, shot list changes, and schedules across multiple, often volunteer, departments feels like herding cats. Without a dedicated production coordinator or fancy software, things get messy fast.

What are your most effective low-cost hacks for managing calendars and ensuring everyone's working off the latest version of everything when resources are super tight? Any clever, free solutions out there?
