IMF, AI QC & The Online Editor: What's Changed for Finishing Artists?

As a Producer, I'm trying to wrap my head around some of the newer workflows, especially with IMF becoming more prevalent for versioning and AI-driven QC systems gaining traction. On our last project, a series shot primarily on the V-RAPTOR XL and an ALEXA 35, the post-production side felt like it had some new complexities I hadn't encountered before. We're already thinking about the next one (a documentary where we'll likely be using a couple of a7S III bodies) and I want to be prepared.

I'm curious how these developments have truly impacted the day-to-day role of the online editor or finishing artist. What new skills or software proficiencies are now considered essential? Are we talking about a fundamental shift in their responsibilities, or more of an evolution of existing ones?
